Animal Crossing: New Horizons basically became the go to lock down game at the heigh of the COVID pandemic. While many players have likely moved on, the title still sucks a huge amount of time from fans around the world and continues to see real world cross overs. The latest cross over is the PUMA x Animal Crossing: New Horizons collection which will launch on 18 September.
Sneaker time
PUMA hinted at the first look of sneakers in the collection, but they’ll also be launching clothing items as well. Marketed as streetwear that embodies the colours and graphics of the game – the collaboration is pretty rad for a spring wardrobe update. PUMA will release three pairs of the sneakers in the collection, playing on their traditional styles while adding in the usual Animal Crossing fanfare. Expect to see the popular leaf popping up in places and light greens, blues and sand type colour:
The sneakers are partnered with a bunch of clothing too. From short and long sleeve tees and hoodies to shorts and sweatpants, you can go full Animal Crossing if you desire. Here’s a look at some of the items:
As mentioned, PUMA has announced the collection is expected to drop on 18 September. I can confirm that the collection will be available in South Africa. The items will be available online as well as at the PUMA stores in Braamfontein, Mall of Africa, Cresta, Gateway and Ballito.
