ROG turns 20 and South African fans can win a trip to Taiwan!

ASUS Republic of Gamers is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a massive global campaign and South African gamers are invited to join the party. Like, actually win a trip to Taiwan invited.

Twenty years ago, a crew of ASUS engineers who were tired of playing games on mediocre gear decided to do something about it. The result? Republic of Gamers, one of the most recognisable names in PC gaming, globally. And now ROG is turning 20, which means it’s time to celebrate. The ROG 20th Anniversary campaign runs from 2 March to 13 April, and it’s giving fans a bunch of ways to get involved: from creating content on social media to submitting a short video story for a shot at some seriously epic prizes.

What can you win?

The big one: a trip to Taiwan to visit ASUS ROG HQ and attend Computex, plus a limited edition 20th anniversary motherboard. Yes, really. Beyond that, there are ROG products and Elite Points up for grabs for creating anniversary art, building an AI gamer avatar, or joining ROG Elite.

How to enter

My ASUS ROG set up all the way back in 2017!

It’s three steps, and the bar is creativity, not production value:

  1. Create your story: Film a video or reel showing your ROG journey. Your setup, your gear, your gaming grind, whatever feels true to you. New to ROG or a long-time stan, both are welcome.
  2. Post it and tag up: Share on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok with #ROGHomecoming, #ROG20thAnniversary, #ROGZA, and #ROGMegaFans. Tag ASUS Republic of Gamers (ZA) and one friend.
  3. Submit on Discord ” Drop your video or photo link in the ROG Discord to earn bonus Elite Points. Don’t skip this step.

Key dates to know

Entries open now and close 29 March. The full campaign runs until 13 April, with community voting on the best Dare-to-ROG stories happening from 6–13 April.

A trip to ROG HQ and a seat at Computex is genuinely a bucket-list moment for any gamer. SA, this one is worth your effort — get filming.
