3 South African online stores I’m loving right now

Online shopping is my absolute favourite thing to do. I love how easy it is to select what I want while browsing the net in my PJs and having it land at my door the next day. I’m constantly looking for new offerings and fun stores to spend some money at. Which is why I had to share my latest three finds with you. I know some of these stores do work with bloggers so I just want to make it clear from the get go, this wasn’t sponsored in any way. I’ve purchased from all three myself with my own cash dollar.

Below are 3 South African online stores I’m loving right now but you should also read two other posts I’ve written with some other rad stores:

That Store

3 South African online stores I'm loving

I started noticing That Store on Instagram a few weeks ago. A bunch of bloggers I follow were wearing custom Tshirts they’d had designed in collaboration with the store. I constantly put off purchasing because I could not decide which item was my favourite. That all changed a week ago when the Store announced their limited edition sequinned kimonos. The only “sparkly” thing in my wardrobe was a gold skirt from H&M that I’m still too terrified to wear. I don’t know what it was about the kimonos but I felt like I absolutely had to live a little and get one. So I did the most obvious thing and purchased two! I gifted one to my friend Lauren for her birthday. She received my original Mermaid Scale choice and I went full glitz with the striped Kimono. There are a lot of sequins on it and I need to find the confidence to wear this out but I’m definitely going to try! It was so easy to use the site, I paid via EFT and my package was shipped and I received it extremely quickly. Each kimono was beautifully wrapped individually and there was a sweet hand written note included. The Tshirt ranges at The Store are all so much fun and help support local South African bloggers. So I can definitely recommend!

Urban Decay Online Store

urban decay make up

It is no secret that I’m a big fan of Urban Decay. They introduced me to a new found love of make up and every time I’m in their Sandton store I buy ALL THE THINGS. Even though half the time I don’t even know how to apply them. Seriously, does anyone know where I can get make up application lessons? YouTube isn’t helping! My biggest problem with Urban Decay in South Africa was that to access their entire range you needed to go into one of their physical stores. There were a few other places that offered select products online but I was never able to find exactly what I wanted. The new South African Urban Decay online store has all the ranges and products available plus some exclusives. The new Kristen Leanne collection is on there! Urban Decay has recently launched two products that I absolutely must have and I’ll be sharing those in my birthday wish list soon, but I’m really hoping they’ll be available online. Because the store is new there are also a host of discounts you can take advantage of. So get your credit card ready!

Sourcepop

titanfall pop

My player 2 is kind of amazingly awesome at gifts. Its a blessing and a curse. His presents are always well thought out, deeply meaningful and a complete surprise. Trying to match that is almost impossible. But, of course, I never back down from a challenge. For Valentines Day this year I knew exactly what I wanted to get him. Player 2 loves Titanfall 2 and my friend Frank had shown me a collection of Titanfall Pops he’d purchased. We’re a bit Funko POP mad in this house so the gift made complete sense. The problem? Frank had purchased his pops a few months prior from AWX (The Nexus, I’ve chatted about them a lot) and they no longer had stock. I chatted to Gammatek, the distributor of Funko POP in SA but they also hadn’t brought any in recently and weren’t able to help. I headed to Google prepping (more like dreading) to import and came across Sourcepop. A South African site claiming to be able to source Pops? Yes please. I emailed them and they responded to let me know that while they didn’t have Titanfall 2 pops they could definitely help me. While we couldn’t get the POP for Valentine’s Day and it took a little bit of time (and searching) – they did get me that Funko POP! The service was incredible and they kept me up to date weekly. The never quit attitude and customer service was a breath of fresh air. Plus the pricing was really fair too considering. Sourcepop is definitely worth your support!
