Zomato gets an iOS8 facelift

Itโ€™s no secret that weโ€™re big Zomato fans. We LOVE reviewing restaurants, seeing what our mates are eating and what they have to say about local spots. Also, if it wasnโ€™t for Zomato we would never have found some of the rad spots in London during our recent travels.

So, if like us and are addicted to Zomato youโ€™ll be stoked to hear that the foodie iPhone app has received some tweaking. Yup, Zomato gets an iOS8 facelift and youโ€™ll get to take advantage of some rather snazzy features.

Android and Windows Phone users donโ€™t despair. These funky new features will be coming to your mobiles shortly.

Our favourite new feature with the the iOS8 facelift is that you can now tag your friends in comments, reviews and photos. Eating isnโ€™t a solo sport so this is such a fun way to grow your foodie community. There are a few other fun features we love:

  • The new revamped design is sexy and sleek.
  • Your food journey will now be tracked via a fun timeline. The timeline indicates highlights, restaurants youโ€™ve loved and what youโ€™ve been up to. Why is this cool? If you want to plan the perfect first date you can pull all the info you need from your honeyโ€™s Zomato profileโ€ฆ Facebook stalking is so last week.
  • Bookmarks will combine Wishlist and SpeedDialโ€ฆ so for Zomato newbies this means all the restaurants you desperately want to visit as well as restaurants youโ€™ve flagged as favourites will appear in the same place.
  • You wonโ€™t need to spend any data accessing Bookmarks via the mobile app. Youโ€™ll be able to look up restaurant details and contact numbers for bookings in this section without having to connect to the internet.
