There is something fun about the colour palettes of comic book heroes and we’ve seen that fun inspire makeup brands with fun collaborations and collections that celebrate everything we love about superheroes and everything we love about a makeup. A new collection has just dropped from Makeup Revolution that celebrates everything DC Comics and this one is a biggie. We’ve got the usual eye palettes and lip colour along side a host of extra bits and pieces you’ll likely love.
The Makeup Revolution x DC Comics collection didn’t hold anything back and I thought I’d share the various goodies with you, because they are just that – absolute goodies!
If you’re more a Marvel lady, then take a look at this:
I’m a bit overwhelmed by how many palettes Makeup Revolution dropped and there is definitely something for everyone. Taking inspiration from Batman, Harley Quinn, Joker and Catwoman, there is a palette for each hero (or villan) combining shimmer, glitter, bright colours, pastels, darker brown and blacks as well as a series of neutrals, depending on your style. There are also two big palettes that combine all your needs in one go. Prepare for the photo dump:
Your lips are covered with three Pout Bomb Lip Gloss options inspired by Joker, Batman and Harley Quinn. The colours are lovely but I’m especially obsessed by the packaging and art that was used. Each item embodies the attitude of the DC Comics character they’re inspired by.
A bunch of accessories
It is pretty mental how much STUFF is in the Makeup Revolution x DC Comics collection. There is mascara, lashes, liner, highlighter, brushes, blender sponges, a hand held mirror and even two pretty cosmetic bags for you to choose from.
Where to get the items?
The collection is available at Target and revolutionbeauty.com and is really well priced. Unfortunately I can’t comment on quality as I haven’t tried the items. For my South African readers, if you want to get your hands on items in the collection you’ll likely need to bring them in yourself. While the brand is in the country there hasn’t been any announcement about bringing this collection in. My friend over at Shimmer and Shadow might be able to help, so definitely drop her a message on Instagram and see if it is possible.
I'd love to chat to you some more.
I usually send out a weekly mailer with a recap of blog posts but also some personal anecdotes. If you want to know about competitions or just catch up in a more personal setting then you might like to receive the mailer.
