There’s a new 100% South African owned and run company that specialises in custom keycaps for your keyboard. This is really popular with gamers who love to add a little customisation to their set ups. Kreative Keycaps has been born and has already done three custom works celebrating three South African esports organisations.
Mettlestate, Goliath Gaming and Omnius Gaming have all featured on the Kreative Keycaps Instagram and it looks like there will be more handcrafted resin artisan keycaps on the way soon.
The first drop from Kreative Keycaps recently went live, with only 20 of the keycaps available and priced at R349 which included tracked shipping. The keycaps will fix Cherry MX Switches and clones.

I don’t want to make this post about the person behind the business, because I think the product is so damn rad and speaks for itself. However, the individual creating these rad works is someone who has supported and backed the South African gaming and esports scene for so long – and I love how he is bringing that passion into this incredibly creative and fun new medium.
Barry “Anthrax” Louzada has been sharing pictures from his Kreative Keycaps orders (and a huge thank you to him for letting me use some of those pictures).
