Remember when we heard the Spyro Reignited Trilogy was on the way? Both Constantine104 and I might have gone a little gaga. I was so hyped and immediately announced that I would find myself a Spyro plushie, come hell or high water. The hunt for the plushie continues but I’ve had a sneak peek at the official merchandise that Activision and Numskull Designs are planning to release and… I’m going to be poor come 21 September.
But wait the game has been delayed, Sam?
Yes. Cue tears. Activision announced via their blog that they’ve needed to delay the release of the game to Mid November as it needs a bit more “love and care”. So the game will now come out 13 November. But, the merchandise is still going to drop this month. There is a stack of adorable items but I’ve picked some of my favourites to share with you. Right now, there is no word on whether any of these are going to be available in South Africa. However, I did have an email conversation with the representative for Geekstore (the international store stocking the merch) and they’ve assured me that they do ship internationally. So we should still be able to ship stuff in, for the hardcore Spyro fans out there. The entire range can be ordered at Geekstore.
These are my Spyro merch best picks though (and the ones I’m trying desperately not to buy!)
We all know I have a small snapback obsession and I still cannot decide which one of these two caps in my favourite. The Dragon scales one is so funky with the cap peek covered in a scale effect. How snazzy? The second cap is just really funky, I love the simple purple on grey and the detail on the embroidery.
They’re both really funky and while I cannot justify more caps I could totally make an exception for these two.
I am a notebook junky and I also happen to go through notebooks at the speed of lightening. I love the small details Numskull Designs added to this one. Take a look:
How adorable? Definitely a favourite.
The incense burner
I don’t even like incense and yet I think this is too cute for words. Truth is I’d likely just keep this on a shelf and never actually use it for its purpose but still, it is a keeper.
There is also a purse, watch, t-shirts and a stack of other stuff you can grab your hands on. So, if you’re sad about the game being delayed, mend your broken heart by breaking your bank, right? I might be trying to justify this to myself more than anyone else….
I usually send out a weekly mailer with a recap of blog posts but also some personal anecdotes. If you want to know about competitions or just catch up in a more personal setting then you might like to receive the mailer.
