Last year I had the most incredible opportunity to visit the Tomb Raider set. The movie was filmed in Cape Town, South Africa, which is just a 2 hour flight from my home town. Visiting the film set of a block buster movie was bucket list stuff. More so because this was a movie about a video game that featured in my childhood and one that I think is pretty iconic for most of us. There is so much I want to share with you about that experience and I’m excited that I get to do it on Friday with a special behind the scenes vlog of my experience. As a bit of a surprise the folks at Warner Brothers sent me a little something to unbox and it turns out it had a little something inside FOR YOU!
That’s right! The movie releases in South Africa on 16 March but, as a special treat for Tech Girl fans, we’re going to be having our very own prescreening on the 15th of March! How rad?
The screening is at 8pm at The Zone in Rosebank. If you’re able to secure a ticket you’ll be one of the first in South Africa to see the movie AND you’ll also get popcorn and cold drink – because what is a movie without snacks!
If you absolutely have to book tickets for this (of course you do) then all you need to do is register on Eventbrite. Once you’ve signed up and received confirmation your name and any of your plus 1s will be on the list. This is going to work on first come first serve and if you aren’t on the list you won’t get in. So you really do need to book your tickets before hand.
