I cannot believe that tonight is the #AcerForGaming evening. This has actually been something in the works for months on end (even though you found out about it less than 2 weeks ago) so it seems rather surreal that it is finally here! If you’re pulling through to the event tonight here are a few important things you need to know:
Games we’re going to play
So we’ve tried to cater for everyone with this one. We’re going to have something for everyone to play. Take a look at this list:

So no matter your level there will be something for you to jam. Better yet though, we’re also going to have racing simulators going and some VR fun with the HTC Vive. So there will be stacks to experience and enjoy.
The XOXO Hair Studio
The incredible XOXO Hair Studio Team is going to be at the event to make sure you’re pampered in between game play. Mini manis and blow outs are going to be happening all night. These wonderful people are not only my friends but also responsible for my hair. I absolutely love them and am so glad they’re going to be at the event to help out. They’ll also be giving away a R1000 Make Over and Goodie Bag Hamper to a lucky girl. All you’ll need to do is take a picture of your incredible hair once you’ve hung out with the team, tag XOXO Hair Studio on Instagram and you could win!
Talking about prizes
There are going to be TONS. So XOXO Hair Studio will have their Make Over and Goodie Bag Hamper for you to win. We want you to share all the fun online with your friends. So remember this hashtag tonight: #AcerForGaming
Using that hashtag in your social posts is going to be your ticket to win a host of incredible prizes. If you arrive in your favourite pair of Converse be sure to snap a pic and share, tag Converse and use the hashtag. I’ll choose the 3 best pairs on the night and each lady will walk away with a gift voucher for a new pair of Converse sneakers! The Mettlestate crew will also be on hand with a few surprises so make sure you find them in the crowd.
Acer will also have a few surprises in store.
Using that hashtag just to share the fun could also see you winning a stack of other prizes. We have XBox Controllers, peripherals, Superhero Tshirts and games to give away. We’ll also have a stack of games for giveaway as well both on PC and XBox.
WiFi
If you want to share you’ll need connection. So we’ll have complimentary WiFi running throughout the evening courtesy of AlwaysOn. You’ll get the access details on arrival.
Parking
This is an important one. The Nexus is at 21 Harley Street but the parking is 24 Harley Street (across the road). Don’t worry, it is safe and secure.
Food
We have some snacks ready and waiting for you. On arrival you’ll also receive two drink vouchers to enjoy yummy Nexus milkshakes and Red Bull will be on hand as well to keep your energy levels up. The amazing folks from Crumbs are also going to make sure we get to enjoy some delicious cupcakes as well! They were responsible for my yummy unicorn cake for my birthday and I know their goodies are DELISH.
Bring your own RIG
A lot of you have asked and, if you want to, you can bring your own RIG to play. Else we’ll have the necessary hardware to help you out.
