blogger workshop johannesburg

Joburg bloggers it is time to get your blog on!

Whether you’re just starting out and trying to find your feet in the crazy blogging world or if you’re at the point where you just know that it is time to take your blog to the next level – then I know EXACTLY where you need to be on Saturday the 23rd of April:

At Nomads & Co in Parktown North for the Get Your Blog On Workshop being held by The Social Agency.

I love what Clerissa and The Social Agency are doing. They’ve separated Get Your Blog On in to two separate workshops. The first focuses on the basics of blogging. This is ideal if you’re just starting out because it is going to touch on things like choosing a hosting provider, finding a good CMS and basic design. The second workshop is for intermediate bloggers and is going to touch on dealing with brands as well as how to monetise your platforms.

This is going to be one of those really useful workshops that is going to help you take your blog to the next level. Originally I was set to speak in both Workshop 1 and 2. Unfortunately, I ended up on a last minute business trip to London (which is where I am now… how rad?).

Never fear, Tech Girl will still be in attendance!

Jade has been my right hand woman on this blog for a few months now. You’ve likely seen her weekly Friday column called BytesizedZA or read one of her cheeky app reviews. She’s contributed to Tech Girl for some time but also has great experience in the traditional media fields – giving her a real understanding of how good content makes you money. Her SEO skills are also off the charts. Jade is going to be filling my Converse for me next week at Get Your Blog On and I have no doubt you’ll find her presentations helpful and inspiring.

If you have any topics you want Jade to touch in just add them to the comments below. Alternatively, to book your space at Get Your Blog On then head on over to the Facebook event page

I'd love to chat to you some more.

I usually send out a weekly mailer with a recap of blog posts but also some personal anecdotes. If you want to know about competitions or just catch up in a more personal setting then you might like to receive the mailer.
