I have very fine hair. Luckily I have A LOT of very fine hair, so even though it is fine and flat I can get away with it because there is so much of it. However, it does mean it sits rather flat and straight on my head. It’s funny isn’t it? Girls with curly hair will always tell you how they want straight hair while girls like me, with the straight limp hair will constantly whine on about how they want curls.
For years I have attempted to try learn the art of perfecting a set of curls with a GHD straightener. I even resorted to watching a Suzelle DIY video that I hoped would finally shed some light on that elusive curl. Zero luck. It usually ended with my hair in a big mess around the straightener and no curls in sight.
Recently I decided to purchase a curling wand. I went for the GHD Curve Creative Curl Wand Set. It’s a big spend and I really was nervous. It seemed simple enough -creating curls with a curling wand – wrap hair around curler and voila. Curls.
The set comes with the curler, a weird two fingered glove and a nifty carry bag. There aren’t instructions – in case, like me, you need those. I decided to document the curling process in photographs. This was going to end two ways – either it was going to be really easy or it was going to be a complete disaster…. let me know in the comments below how you think it ended up?
