Tech Girl first birthday – TomTom Multi-Sport Watch
The final week of April is upon us and that means it is also the final week to win a gorgeous pressie in our Tech Girl birthday giveaways. Without a doubt, this one is a favourite. The TomTom Multi-Sport Watch is a must have for any the seriously sporty. This isn’t your usual “step counter” we see in fitness bands.
The TomTom Multi-Sport Watch enables you to track running, cycling and swimming metrics (so basically it is the triathlete of sports watches). It has GPS tracking as well to optimise your performance. That GPS tracking will also come in handy with the opening of the new GoHealth gyms in South Africa – you can pump that data into the treadmills and stationary bikes at the gym and recreate your last run or ride (but a story for another day).
It’s waterproof and tracks indoor and outdoor activities. You manage everything with one button and it is pretty durable. I used it for a week and found it easy to clean. The funky colour also let me transition it from workout to work – which is a bonus in my book. The battery lasts for about 8 to 10 hours so you can get a full day out of it. The LCD display is also rather rad because you can see everything at a glance rather than trying to read the fine print.
All in all? It’s a rather spectacular watch. It also comes with a bike mount and a strap on heart rate monitor. Rad right?
TomTom has gifted us with one TomTom Multi-Sport Watch to gift to you as part of our first birthday celebrations. This is such an incredible prize that I almost didn’t want to give it away! Entering is rather easy. You’ll need to comment below and tell me what you want to see on Tech Girl in the future (i.e. what stories you want more of, what things you like to read etc), then you’ll need to send out a tweet. This competition is open to South African residents only.
I usually send out a weekly mailer with a recap of blog posts but also some personal anecdotes. If you want to know about competitions or just catch up in a more personal setting then you might like to receive the mailer.
