I’m all for a bargain. But when it comes to tablet and phone covers, I learnt the hard way. Those cheapies from Chinamart never last and end up looking grubby after a few weeks of use (if they don’t end up falling apart before then). I’ve had my fair share of zips breaking and covers cracking to know that sometimes, you need to spend a bit of cash.
Luckily for you I’ve found the 3 best places to shop for tablet and phone covers. My 3 top picks are also really affordable and I can vouch for them, if they stand up to the rigors of living in my handbag for a few weeks you know they’ll last.
1. Tumi’s PRISM Range
I’m rather fond of TUMI. I have a TUMI suitcase that I treasure and the quality of their items is beyond compare. Their new Prism Range is a collection of tablet covers, bags, Phone cases and document holders. TUMI’s Prism range only lands on South Africa shores in August, but I couldn’t not include them in my list. While I’ve chosen my favourite plum and green items to show off, there is a large selection of brightly coloured leather and textured leather combinations to choose from. Consider this a warning to start saving. You can find your nearest TUMI store by visiting their website.
2. Lou Harvey iPad Covers
I recently won a competition on Raising Men, where I got a Lou Harvey gift voucher to spend in their online store. I obviously went way over the won amount. Part of my spoils included one of these iPad covers. They’re ideal because they are so easy to clean! I usually find with patterned fabric items they collect so much dirt, but these covers have a somewhat plastic coating (so wine spillage is easily wiped off). They retail from R395 and you can purchase them on the Lou Harvey online store. Ooh, and we have 4 of these gorgeous covers to give away in the next few weeks so keep your eyes glued to the site!
3. White Diamonds
I’m a fan of sparkle if it adds to the design as opposed to is the design. So I really like these White Diamond tablet and phone covers. They’re not overly blingy and don’t only come in pink. In fact, their Samsung S5 black cover with diamante detail is one of my favs. The added sparkle is Swarovski Elements, so not cheap plastic that may fall off in a few weeks. The White Diamonds range is available at most of the major phone and gadget shops. You’re looking at about R499 to R599 for tablet covers and R299 to about R399 for phone covers. They specifically cater to the Samsung S4, iPhone 5, iPad Air and iPad Mini.
So there you have them, the 3 best places to shop for tablet and phone covers – according to us. Do you have any other suggestions you think we should add to the list?
