Last week we got to Corona Part 8 and this week I decided to change it up because now we are at level 4. I’ve hit a “Lock Downer” and couldn’t bring myself to do a part 9. Now that I’ve called the wambulance, let’s get into this week’s Bytesized.

Thank you for not smoking
A few days ago Uncle Cyril said cigarettes would be for sale during level 4 and then last night NDZ said no. As soon as I heard this I packed up laughing at my boyfriend. He is a smoker and I am not. He genuinely was not impressed with me. I then went onto Twitter and saw that a lot of people weren’t impressed.
Smokers know that smoking is bad for them and we all know the risks, but now is definitely not the time to force smokers to quit cold turkey. Have some compassion for those non-smokers living with smokers. The compassion is for me. I’m the non-smoker.

Face masks are part of the new normal
Every time you say the “new normal” a puppy dies. I don’t make the rules up. Also I kind of hate myself for using that phrase.
When lived in Taiwan, masks were the norm but it is weird seeing this in SA. While masks do help stop the spread of diseases, they are also useful. When I went to Checkers the other day, I had a breakout and didn’t even have to wear cover up because I was wearing a mask. Glass half full type thing.
