A few weeks ago I saw a post on Facebook from a friend of mine mentioning how she had made a purchase on a website called Herb and Chic. She raved on about the service and the produce so I had to check it out.
Herb and Chic is an online store that allows you to order fruit and veggies online and have them delivered to your door. I was very curious because one of my major downfalls is that I always seem to buy the same fruit and veggies – I’m desperate for variety but tend to come home with the same old selection. Herb and Chic offers a variety of products including Fruit Baskets, Vegetable Selections, Banting Vegetable Selections, Bread Baskets, Herbs and Aromatics and Salad Baskets. Each time you order the selection of fruit and veggies is different and dependent on what is in season.
I chose to order the Fruit & Veg combo which is suited to a couple or small family. It costs R240. It was a bumper box of fresh goodness. Take a look:
The box also arrived with a recipe to try that was suited to the items in the box. The quality of the produce was really impressive and biting in to one of the juicy Herb and Chic pears was a delicious experience. I was extremely impressed with the offering and fantastic service – especially considering the price. Currently Herb and Chic only delivers to areas in the South of Johannesburg in Gauteng, South Africa but I’m sure if there is enough interest they’ll expand their service.
I cannot recommend Herb and Chic enough. You’re also able to set a regular delivery so you don’t need to try remember to order every week. Do you know any other services like Herb and Chic that I should be trying out?
