Do you play Fortnite? Do you play FIFA? Do you want to compete with a host of other gamers in South Africa online to have some epic fun AND potentially win a stack of prize money and giveaways? WELL, the Absa Gaming Festival has just been announced and this might be exactly what you’ve been looking for!
The Absa Gaming Festival will run over several weeks with Fortnite and FIFA 22 events (as well as a special Apex Legends streamer event). The Cash prize pool is R60 000 and there are additional Absa Awards valued at more than R50 000. There is also a Best Plays Competition where you can submit your most memorable gaming moments for a chance to win prizes.
Who can enter?
Anyone… is the short answer.
The Fortnite competition will be a duo event with four open qualifiers which will run once a week, from 30 April. The top 12 Duos from each qualifier will secure their spot in the finals.
The FIFA 22 tournament will have four open qualifiers, one per week, starting on 1 May. The top 4 players from each qualifier will advance to the finals – which will take place on 5 June.
If you’re a streamer, you can also enter one of the two qualifier events for the Apex Legends Streamer event which will take place on the 6th and 13th of May.
