Your face here: where to get awesome personalised gifts, decor & more

Give a gift that keeps on giving

Ever wanted to be Big in Japan or Famous in Europe? You can now be famous where it matters most, in the comfort of your own home (you know because lockdown). Here are some awesome ways to get your face printed on stuff but not in a lame live, laugh, love kind of way. A way where you can have your face (or anybody else’s, any species or object) printed on it. Consider all your birthday, anniversary and Xmas gifts sorted.

Sox and Jox – socks and briefs

A South African company that as the name suggests, sells socks and underwear. But unlike regular socks and underwear, you can have your (or someone else’s) face printed on it. Introducing Sox and Jox.

How it works: upload a pic, Sox & Jox will crop out the face, put it on socks or briefs, and send it straight to your door.

Cost: R199 for a pair of socks and R299 for a pair of jocks. Free delivery if you spend more than R500.

You get face socks, couple face socks, your face in a polaroid socks and even monogram socks where you can write a message (the same options are available for jocks).

Silly George – pillows

Another local company that will put your face (or you’re pets or anything really) on a pillow. What makes this different is that the pillow is made in the shape of the object! So none of those lame regular scatter cushions with faded family photos on them.

How it works: upload your photo and leave your cropping notes. Silly George will get back to you and confirm that you are happy with the design.

Cost: R250 per pillow and you get free delivery.

I got my friend a pillow of a black cat for her birthday from this awesome company, Menagerie (they have a whole bunch of animals and are currently only R200 each). For next year, I can get her actual furbaby printed on a pillow too.

Netflorist – sequin pillows

This is a scatter cushion with a difference. The difference being bling in the form of sequins. It looks like a shiny pillow, but if you move the sequins the other way, it is a photo. This is for those that like bling but also don’t want to commit to displaying their faces 24/7.

How it works: Upload a photo and voila.

Cost: R349.95 and delivery depends on your area.
