The Legion have arrived! World of Warcraft: Legion is out and I have been going crazy over it this past week. Keep in mind that this is after I took a long break from the series back in 2012. I think the last time I played it was when Mists of Pandaria released. I then only got back into the game after I watched the awesome movie which hit cinemas in May.
I might sound like every YouTuber out there at the moment, but I have to say that getting back into Legion, was less daunting than Warlords of Draenor. Blizzard have added in tons of new features into Legion, that make the game and experience much more user friendly. The best part about Legion, in my opinion, is the level-100 character boost. This boost lets you instantly push any character, be it new or old, to level 1o0. You see, all the action that comes with Legion, only kicks in when you hit level 100, so this way you will not need to grind for weeks before trying out all the new stuff and exploring the Broken Isles. You see games like this all have that one guy we all hate. Remember Gul’dan from the movie? Well he is back in Azeroth with an army of Legion that will need more than a talking to, to sort things out.
Legion brings with it a ton of new features. Those who have followed the series, will feel right at home and see the impact of these new game mechanics. Those new to the series will really enjoy exploring these new features. The artifact system is probably the best new feature and sees each class obtain a special item that can be upgraded and enchanted throughout the Legion campaign. I play as a Pandarian, and my quest to obtain this artifact was one of the best I have played in the series. My artifact makes all my elemental spells kick ass so much harder than before. Each class has a unique set of these, and an awesome quest to play through to obtain them.
But that is not it, as Legion has taken a step back with its complicated lore and unforgiving game mechanics. Overall it all feels much easier to grasp. I missed out on many of the past expansion’s features, and with the character boost, I could go back and experience them all. For one, I never ever got a flying mount because I just did no get there. Legion comes with a cool mount for you, so you can get going and explore Azeroth, which is a remarkable place to explore.
The new class trials, lets you choose any class and play with them at level 100. This is great as you can give them all a feel before deciding on one to choose. Because they are level 100, you will also see what they will be like by the time your reach that level, or you have used your character boost. The world is yours, and Legion makes it so, that it never restricts you to anything in the game. Trust me, I teleported to my Garrison, and spent 2 hours trying to find my way back to Pandaria.
The best thing about this all?
Megarom have given me one Standard Edition copy of the game to giveaway to one lucky person on Tech Girl.
All you need to do, is in the comments below, tell me your character combination.
What race you will choose? If you are “FOR THE HORDE” or “FOR THE ALLIANCE”? What class suits your style? We will announce the winner in the coming weeks. I will even throw in a code for a Hearthstone Booster Pack while I am at it, and even a Jaina character code for Heroes of the Storm. Pretty awesome if you ask me!
