What we think you should know:
I was sent the Logitech Ultimate Ears Boom 2 speaker to test out. It’s a funky little gadget that comes in a host of cute neon colours. The cylinder shape offers up 360 degree sound. There are is also an app that can be utilised for both Android and iOS. I didn’t bother with the app and just linked it up to my phone via bluetooth straight away.
The sound quality on this speaker is fantastic. It filled my little apartment and had me bum shaking around the kitchen as I cleaned up after cooking. It produces crisp clean sound that you’ll appreciate if you’re a music lover.
I think, maybe a year ago, I would have loved the crazy neon colours (there is a big selection) but now that I’ve recently redone my home I was a bit put off the Boom 2 as a speaker for my house. I’d prefer something a little less loud (looks wise) and slightly more sleek. The Boom 2 is water and dust proof so I think it is really suited to someone who spends more time outdoors and would possibly suit your braai area as a pool side sound option.
The casing is really funky but it did make me wonder if the high price (R3500 for a Bluetooth speaker is steep you guys!) could be dropped if they had spent less money on the packaging.
It’s a rad little sound gadget but I can’t seem to justify the purchase of it – not at that price. The hunt for the perfect speaker set for my new home continues!
So rad:
- The sound really is top class
Makes us sad:
- The effect this speaker will have on your purse
Disclaimer: I was sent a Logitech Ultimate Ears Boom 2 to review. Other bloggers were given theirs to keep – I did send mine back. Wanted to make that clear for those of you who think I only write things about stuff I get given 😉
