You know what, I’ll admit it. I’m really not a fan of traditional flossing. I have major gum sensitivity and bleed so often it has put me off. Which means I was pretty intrigued when I heard about the Oclean A10 AirPump Water Flosser. I thought it would be worthwhile to try it out. It’s an air-powered oral irrigator… and if that confuses you a little, let me explain.
The Oclean A10 AirPump Water Flosser is a small hand held device which you charge via a USB cable. Much like the latest electric toothbrushes. It uses air to push bursts of water out. With a thin spout like head tube, you can position it to remove plague and food bits which are sitting between your teeth or around things like braces. I’m a fan of the Oclean offering, I use their toothbrush as my travel companion and can never rave about it enough.

It’s small and compact. I found it sits well in my hand and is easy to hold and maneuver around my mouth. The design is actually easier for me to hold than most smartphones. The device uses something called patented AirPump technology which, simply put, combines air and water to pump out the nozzle at up o 150kPa of pressure which helps clean between and around teeth. You’re able to select three different modes which are Standard, Soft or Massage, depending on what you require. I think this water flosser is probably perfect for people with braces or other orthodontic additions. For me? I have gum sensitivity and feel like this is a better option than traditional flossing which I really struggle with.
Why I like it
Oclean device battery life is next level. I’m currently on the road with my X Ultra and I’ve not had to charge it in more than two weeks. While I can’t speak for the AirPump A10 Water Flosser as yet, because I’ve not been using it long enough to confirm, I am sure the battery life will be superb. I’m not a fan of having to charge devices every second day, so this is a big plus for me. I like that it is water proof and how damn simple it is to use. It’s very much a plug and play solution. One button to turn it on and then you hold the button down to change to the different modes. Short hold down to turn it off. Simple. Easy. Convenient. The small size also means it will be perfect for travelling as it takes up hardly any space.
