On 1 October PANDORA launched their Star Wars collection. The geek in me went a bit bad. I have a very special PANDORA charm bracelet I’ve curated over the years. The bracelet includes charms from all my loved ones and I wear it whenever I travel. Each charm is unique and special – reminding me of the people who matter. I’ve actually filled the bracelet and have no more space on it. However, this Star Wars collab had me considering spending some cash on a new bracelet just for the Star Wars fun.
The local South African PANDORA online store has a really great collection and I thought I’d share what is available in case you were interested. Pandora has also launched Star Wars AR filters for Instagram, featuring Princess Leia, Darth Vader, and the Death Star. These are great if you want some fun on social too!
The Star Wars inspired collection
The collection has 12 unique pieces and ALL 12 are available in South Africa which is pretty exciting (we don’t always get all the rad stuff straight away so this is pretty awesome). I also had some concern that the designs might be a bit kitsch but they definitely weren’t. The PANDORA elegance was still there but the beauty of Star Wars was captured really well.
The collection combines the original trilogy with some new elements. So yes, you’ll see BB8 and even Baby Yoda (I know that isn’t the correct terminology but it is the easiest way to explain to those who aren’t giant geeks). The Mandalorian’s favourite character joins old heroes and BB8 as well. So there really is something for any Star Wars fan. The collection is a mix of golds, silvers and colour. The PANDORA x Star Wars collection has been made from 71% recycled metals as well.
What can you get?
I’m going to include ALL the pieces in the collection below. From a pricing aspect the most expensive items include the Bracelet with the Star Wars Snake Clasp, which costs R1599 and the gold C3PO charm, which will also set you back R1599. The cheapest item in the collection, if you’re on a budget, is the C3P0 and R2D2 Open Work Charm which costs R779. Everything else flitters between those price points, depending on what you’re looking for. Here are all 12 pieces:
As I mentioned before, the PANDORA online shop has all items listed and available. I linked to my review on my experience shopping on the store so you can feel safe if you’re looking to splurge. I’m absolutely in love with this range. It feeds my geek soul!
