Gorgeous fashion forward Apple Watch straps for less than R400

Hello, my name is Sam and I’m an accessories freak. I have way too many phone cases and my new favourite past time is Fitbit Versa straps. I spend hours on the internet finding new ones and buying them… when I upgrade my phone I’m left with a basket of cases I can’t use and I foresee the same with my Fitbit. Basically, if I can find gorgeous accessories I’m all over that. A few weeks ago my friend and photographer Tegan Smith was working on a shoot with a South African company called Blend.Style and I was obsessed, immediately!

Blend.Style

Basically Blend.Style opened in November last year and the company specialises in gorgeous Apple Watch bands. The ladies behind the company were frustrated with the lack of variety for smart watch straps available locally – something I can relate to. While I don’t have an Apple Watch I’m constantly trying to hunt down Versa straps and have only found one place so far. The other big problem with Apple Watch bands is that the ones that are available are super expensive. Which is where Blend.Style comes in – their straps are really affordable so you won’t be limited to one option, you can go from breathable gym strap to cute work strap to glammed up night strap without having to drop a small fortune.

Unique prints with Casetify

There’s even some great options for him – especially with Valentine’s Day around the corner.

Blend.Style has a unique range of straps but they’ve also paired up with popular phone cover company Casetify to launch their Apple Watch Straps (which are sold exclusively on Blend.Style). Each Casetify print (which is done on Saffiano Vegan Leather) is unique and some of the best illustrators in the world work on these – so you’re getting something really special.

My top picks

I have a few favourites from Blend.Style that I wanted to share with you but there are SO many options to choose from.

trendy silicone pink and white

My first pick is this gorgeous pink and white Silicon strap. I find Silicon push straps like this so much nicer for every day. They’re easy to get on and off, far easier to clean and if you’re into fitness I find the Silicon straps breathe a bit better. Plus SO much easier to wipe down afterwards and get the sweat build up off. This one retails for R245.

glittering bracelet

The Glistening bracelet is such a great option if you want to glam up for work or events. This immediately turns your Apple Watch into less of a “smart” watch and more of a designer jewellery piece. The band looks so high end and costs around R395.

floral leather strap

I love this leather band with the floral design on it. This is great for every day because it looks funky and pretty but is still functional. Again I also think it takes that smart watch feeling away and gives you more of an accessory piece look. It costs R395 as well.

DISCOUNT CODE

I’m so impressed with the offering at Blend.Style. The straps are all gorgeous and if I had an Apple Watch I’d be snapping them up and spending money like crazy. I really love the idea of the store and the option to get a range of straps to suit your mood or personality without having to break the bank – which is usually the case with so many smart watch straps, phone covers and the like. The also offer Apple Watch covers which are a big bonus!

And now for the best part: The Blend.Style team has offered the Tech Girl community a discount code for their first purchase. If you use the check out code TECHGIRL you’ll get 15% off your purchase! How rad? The code is valid for 1 month and all terms and conditions of sale apply.

Let me know which band you get?

I'd love to chat to you some more.
