If you follow me on any form of Social Media you would have noticed an increase in Minecraft posts over the past few months, mostly around my Minecraft Monday adventures…
Minecraft what now?
Minecraft Mondays started off for members of the Xbox Players SA Facebook group to join the admins and moderators in a weekly game. It was then taken over by Xbox Playdates as a regular event hosted by GlennZA.
Over 12 weeks, gamers and members of both Xbox Playdates ZA & Xbox Players SA have played together in a Minecraft Monday world, building shelters, finding food, mining minerals and getting up to all sorts of shenanigans.
My personal favourites being when members of the community have taken “class photos” before or after any of our major events, adventures or accomplishments in-game.
Have an Xbox? Here’s how you can get involved;
Last week marked the start of Season 2 – Hosted by GlennZA and THEED3 – Where several new sessions have been introduced including a Xbox 360 and Xbox One world, both open to the public. The sessions include a Q&A session aimed at newcomers or players who are looking for help or advice, and then a “Prime Time” session for the die hard regulars.
“But what about the rest of us?”
Minecraft Mondays Season 2 is in lead up to the release of the “Better Together Update” expected later this year which will bring cross-platform compatibility between the Pocket, Windows 10, Xbox One, Gear VR and Nintendo Switch Editions of the game. (Meaning we can all play together in one big Minecraft world, and it is going to be awesome!)
Good morning and welcome to Monday. Yes I even typed that with a smile on my face :)) Why? Well it's @Minecraft Monday of course. pic.twitter.com/597PDlitKa

I can highly recommend looking into joining us if you’re a Minecraft fan or if you’ve been meaning to try it out but never got around to it. It’s a great place to learn the ropes of the game at your own pace, with zero judgments and no such thing as a stupid question. Details can be found @GlennZA on Twitter or the Xbox Players SA Facebook Group.
