Assassin's Creed movie prescreening

Win tickets to the Assassin’s Creed movie prescreening

When the first picture of Michael Fassbender in the Assassin’s Creed movie came out I may have lost it slightly. When the trailer came out I made my entire office watch it around my desk as I made annoying girl screeches in parts.

Bottom line: I’m pretty stoked to see this film.

I’ve loved the game franchise despite being more of a First Person Shooter fan – the narratives they weave are a thing of beauty (let’s just ignore Unity for a bit okay). I’ve also long been a fan of Fassbender’s work. He really is a talented actor and his good looks help the situation somewhat as well.

Assassin's Creed movie prescreening

Anyway, because of my excitement the awesome folk at Ster-Kinekor have given me three sets of double tickets to the pre-screening of the movie! OMG right?

These are valid for any Ster-Kinekor cinemas in South Africa. The screening is on the 21st of December. So if you’d like to get your hands on these babies it is pretty simple – show or tell me why you are the most entrenched Assassin or the most feared Templar. Simple. You can submit your entries in the comments below or you can post them on social media (just make sure to tag Tech Girl so I can find them!).

Easy as. See you at the pre-screening?

  1. I think i have to be the biggest fan of this series, i have been hooked since it first surfaced and then i have played every game since then except for Rogue and Syndicate, I am that much of a fan that 3 is one of my favorite games in the series. “Nothing is true; everything is permitted”

  2. I am such an entrenched Assassin I can’t pass pigeons on a ledge without wondering where the cart of straw is, I see a bird soaring and I look for the high sight and I can’t watch historical movies without thinking about how I climbed that building or assassinated that person. Also, I crushed hard on Ezio… it’s not just me, right?

  3. I have been a dedicated and hooked fan since the very first installment featuring Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad leading into the legend of Ezio (who felt close to the heart almost part of the family, it was a sad day to see him go). Spending countless hours shadowed by the crowd and the noises of the market, being incognito to my enemies makes me the perfect silent assassin, I draw my blade as I pass by the guards. A small prick on the back of the neck is all I require, slowly disappearing into the shadows of the city, whilst my prey gulps and falls to the paved surface following the perfect dose of Canterella poison. “My story is one of many thousands, and the world will not suffer if it ends too soon”

  4. Only a true assassin such as myself can work as a bartender one month then kill Al Mualim the next. I can pour a bachelorette party a round of shooters with one hand and violent murder half of Italy with the other.

  5. Easy, peasy… I’ve been a fan of the series/books and games for as long as I can remember. So in true essence …. One of
“Mother. Father. I am sorry. I have failed you both. I made a promise to protect our people, Mother. I thought if I could stop the Templars, If I could keep the revolution free from their influence, then those I supported would do what was right. They did, I suppose, do what was right – what was right for them. As for you, Father, I thought I might unite us, that we would forget the past and forge a better future. In time, I believed you could be made to see the world as I do – to understand. But it was just a dream. This, too, I should have known. Were we not meant to live in peace, then? Is that it? Are we born to argue? To fight? So many voices – each demanding something else.
“It has been hard at times, but never harder than today. To see all I worked for perverted, discarded, forgotten. You would say I have described the whole of history, Father. Are you smiling, then? Hoping I might speak the words you long to hear? To validate you? To say that all along you were right? I will not. Even now, faced as I am with the truth of your cold words, I refuse. Because I believe things can still change.
“I may never succeed. The Assassins may struggle another thousand years in vain. But we will not stop.”
“Compromise. That’s what everyone has insisted on. And so I have learnt it. But differently than most, I think. I realize now that it will take time, that the road ahead is long and shrouded in darkness. It is a road which will not always take me where I wish to go – and I doubt I will live to see it end. But I will travel down it nonetheless.”
“For at my side walks hope. In the face of all that insists I turn back, I carry on: this, this is my compromise.”

I now believe I am on a quest set out to defend and bring justice, no matter the cost.

  6. I am entrenched assassins because my family roots are from Ezio Auditore, I fear nothing and no one and the fact that Desmond is my ancestor speaks volumes. I have loved the Assassins Creed series and the story is just so tantalizing, from the Italian renescance to the Mighty Seas with Captain Edward Kenway, looting islands and rescuing damsels in distress. The whole series has been absolutely amazing and the way Ubisoft intertwined both the outside story with what happens in Abstergo. Assassins creed is a Must see I’m just so excited about the movie itself, plus we all want to see the Templars go down.

  7. I may not be the biggest fan…and for that reason perhaps I should be educated in the ways of the assassin..or the Templars…I think this movie would be the perfect place to start such an education…

  8. the most feared Templar because I managed to sneak in the very end without anyone notocing and “kapow” ……. got the tickets !

  9. Well this can be late but I’m doing this anyway my favorite assassin is Jacob frye. He is wicked awesome and soo relatable. My favorite Templar is Crawford starrick. He is a fierce leader and he took over London which makes him very power full till of course he was taken down.
