The most watched YouTube videos in SA for 2016

South Africans are awesome and this list of the most watched videos in South Africa for 2016 proves it. From blessers, to road rage, singers with the voice of an angel, dance and of course Trevor Noah and Jay Zee, we really are a mixed bunch. And judging by the number of funny videos in the mix (70%), we definitely needed a bit of a laugh.

Watch all of the top 10 most watched videos in South Africa here:

Topping the list was The Daily Show – South African President Jacob Zuma and the Panama Papers.

Second up was I’ll beat you from Nigerian channel Mark Angel Comedy.

Rudi Smit’s flash mob dance video – Me Too – achieved its aim of getting South African talent noticed by Megan Trainor, and went viral all over the world.

Laura Bretan: 13-year-old opera singer gets the golden buzzer – America’s Got Talent 2016 Auditions had us all in goosebumps and wiping our eyes at Laura’s incredible version of Nessun Dorma.

It wasn’t all light entertainment in the top ten most watched videos, however, a road rage incident in Durban also featured, as did an eNCA Checkpoint episode on Blessers.
