Ah Facebook, I hate you but then I love you. These incredible products popped up on my feed last night and I went a bit Gaga. Agabag started selling LEGO handbags a few months back, but now they’re figured out how to Gold plate LEGO bricks. This means they could incorporate gorgeous new designs to their collection and ask add a jewellery range.
According to Design Milk, gold plating LEGO bricks is no easy task. The gold bricks are covered in 24K cold. It’s a thin layer of coating so the bricks can still be stacked and last the bashing around we tend to do to our purses. I’m absolutely in love with these LEGO handbags. They’re so geeky while still rather chic.

The jewellery is gorgeous as well. When I first read about LEGO handbags and jewellery I presumed it would be rather kitsch and cheap looking, but I was so wrong. The designs are stunning. I desperately want a gold plated LEGO ring now. I’ll have to save up though. The bags go for more than $200 (that’s close to R3000). The cheap LEGO rings (see not gold plated) aren’t too badly priced at $7 BUT the gold plated rings and bracelets seem to be sold out. My goal is to hunt them down and BUY ALL THE THINGS!
I’ve posted a stack of pictures below. Which items are your favourites?
