Win tickets to Geek Fest 2016

Every year Johannesburg Geeks get to join forces and celebrate at Geek Fest! Many moons ago I had an internet radio show on a station called EuroTrashMusic (RIP). It was before Tech Girl’s time. I interviewed the Dark Carnival crew and they mentioned this great idea they had for a festival. The idea was to recreate a Comic Con type vibe but with a uniquely South African flavour.

I always think back to that chat and am blown away that they ended up seeing it through and producing the incredible weekend that is now Geek Fest.

That’s right – Geek Fest 2016 will be an entire weekend!

I took Digit to Geek Fest 2014 when he was a teeny tiny puppy and it was the best experience:

The festival promises a host of fun stuff to do. There is incredible Cosplay, a second hand trading station, amazing stalls filled with Geek merchandise, doggy dress up parades and even Robowars. For a taste of what to expect, Marco shared this information with us about Geek Fest 2015. Tickets this year are only R100 or R150 for both days.
