What we think you should know:
I was given a RED-E Powerbank Premium Edition late last year. In a stupid move I forgot it in my car when my vehicle went in for a service and it was gone. I was devastated. It is one of those “freebies” that had weaseled its way into my life and become a staple in my handbag.
So I went out and purchased a replacement. Despite having two RED-E RC25s I missed the premium edition. That, of me, is the biggest endorsement I can give any gadget. I was happy to spend my own money on one. When another RED-E Powerbank Premium Edition landed on my desk for review I had to have a little dance of joy around my office. What’s better than a RED-E Powerbank Premium Edition? TWO OF THEM.
The Premium Edition has a 6000 mAh battery. That means it is pretty powerful. I can use it to charge my ASUS Transformer and my current smartphone before it runs out of charge. It has a useful USB connection and a micro USB connection built in but also offers up to more USB output modes (neither of which I have used if I’m honest but would be useful if you need to charge an Apple device).
It can be charged by connecting it via your usual smartphone micro USB cable to a plug point or to your PC or laptop. My only gripe is that it takes a good 6 hours to charge fully which means you might need to remember to charge it up in the evenings before bed.
It’s not as small as some other powerbanks so will take up space in your handbag, but it is completely worth it. It is my favourite powerbank by far and the one I personally use. A better endorsement I cannot give it.
So rad
- It packs a big charging punch
Makes us sad
- It does take a considerable amount of time to charge up
Disclaimer: We were sent a RED-E Powerbank Premium Edition for review (and to keep) but we already have one, which we purchased with our own money.
