A chance to get fit, play with gadgets & hang with Tech Girl

In an effort to get in to shape for summer I’ve decided to do things. I’ve used the new fitness kick as a means to also play with some fun fitness gadgets as well. Some of the most useful fitness gadgets I’ve come across so far are from Garmin. They have an incredible range of tech and what I love is that much of it is female friendly (it’s far less common than you think!).

On Saturday 27 September Garmin GTribe is happening. It’s a fun fitness event running from 8:30am to 2:30pm. The event is separated into two sessions where you can try out a host of different activities while also learning about the Garmin gadgets.

I had a look at the programme and have decided to do a light Crossfit session in the morning (is there such a thing as light crossfit?). Mich Letcher will be taking the class and introducing us to Crossfit. She’ll also be giving us some advice on weight and cardio training as well as eating right. We’ll also be learning about the importance of using a heart rate monitor during training.

After the session there will be massages and delicious healthy snacks to enjoy before we hit the afternoon session. I’ve chosen to do an Adventure Boot Camp on this one. It’s something I’ve never done but sounds like tons of fun. Plus there is a chance to win a VivoFit.

Now, all this fitness fun needs to be shared. So the rad folk at Garmin have offered to host me and you! Better yet, as the lucky Tech Girl participant you’ll get an awesome Garmin goodie bag filled with some rad things. To add to the perks the folks over at Fit Sports Lab will also be gifting you with some of their nutritional supplements. I’m a huge fan of FiT because their supplements have no artificial colourants, no preservatives and no artificial flavourants. You’ll join me for the day on the two sessions mentioned above. Did I mention the massages in between?

So would you like to be my fit buddy? You need to be in Jozi on Saturday 27 September and be able to get to Rietvlei Zoo Farm for an 8:30am start. OH and you need to be a girl.

Simply comment below if you’re keen (please include your email so I can get hold of you). Winner will be announced on Tuesday 30 September.

Congrats to Shelley Pembroke our winner!

I'd love to chat to you some more.
