We live in this strange world where we pay big buckets of money for a slick smartphone, only to buy a less-than-slick cover and screen protector to prevent our precious gadgets from scratches, dust, dents and all round debauchery.
They’re getting better at it, though, these smartphone designers, and are starting to build our gadgets to be more hardy, water resistant (epic development if I may say so) and idiot-proof.
That being said, I’m still not comfortable with a naked screen. My phone goes in and out of my pocket, my handbag, my laptop bag, the bar, my bra (did I take it too far?) hundreds of times a day and the screen gets scratched along the way. The plastic covers look slick and shiny for about a day, before I accidentally nick it on one edge and then the plague of bubbles begins. I started buying 3-packs.
It’s available online for iPhone 5/5S, iPhone 5C, Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy S5.
Made from chemically treated real glass

What we think you should know:
First of all, it’s easy to put on. It feels a bit like surgery at first, when you apply the cover to the phone and hold your breath, waiting for something to go wrong (like being out of line with the edges, finding a piece of dust only visible when it sticks, or waiting for the first blotch to appear). None of this happened. It was easy and the silicon adhesive spread quickly across the surface of my screen and attached without a hitch. The pack provides an alcohol swab as well as a dust cloth to ensure that the screen is perfectly clean before application.
Crystal clear transparency. Unless you know it is there, you don’t see it
Very touch sensitive – it has no problem scanning your fingerprint
Leaves no fingerprints or smudges
No scratches! Even after dropping it a few times, screen down (oops) and sliding it in and out of pockets and handbags.
1 year warranty
Makes us sad
Only available for iPhone 5/5S, iPhone 5C, Samsung Galaxy S4/S5 models
