Expires App – Keep track of that stuff that expires

We all know the feeling, when you realise that your car licence has expired/is about to expire and you haven’t got a free spot in your diary that week to go get it renewed. Or you’ve booked your overseas holiday and when sorting out your visa application, you realise that your passport is about to expire.

MacTachSA brought this handy little app to our attention. Expires is an app that is so simple, yet so useful. It’s available for iOS or Windows Phones. You enter all your important documents and policies’ expiry dates and tell it when to remind you to renew them.

What you need to know

Requires iOS 7.0 or later.

Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Optimised for iPhone 5

Available for Windows phones as well

What we think you should know:

It’s really so easy. Go through your wallet and file of important documents. Enter each one into the app with the date it expires and when you would like to be reminded about it. That’s it. No more last minute frenzy at home affairs between meetings and stressing that you’ll miss your visa application cut-off. (Let’s face it, if something stands in the way of my summer beach holiday in Spain, I will kill it).

So rad:

  • Easy as pie. It only requires 3 inputs and it’s done
  • You can enter custom fields, so you can really ask it to remind you about anything you want
  • Gives a countdown to expiry, which is handy

Makes us sad:

  • Only for iOS & Windows
