Black Friday fever is definitely here and for those of us getting paid on the 25th, let’s just take a moment to say thank you to the salary gods that we will be paid on Friday. Here are the best Black Friday deals we’ve been able to find and we’re giving you a sneaky heads up. There’s tech, there’s gaming and there are also a few unexpected additions. Dion Wired
Dion Wired will offer up to 70% off merchandise both online and in store! To get the deals sign up to their newsletter and be the first to know (there’s also a chance you can win an iPhone X yay!). There are specific online only deals which include R3000 off the DJI Mavic Pro Drone and close on R1000 off the Fitbit Flex 2. I’m hoping they will have some of their fancy coffee machines on sale. I have my eye on this one:
ghd
Here’s a fun surprise, ghd has ALREADY STARTED their Black Friday sale. Everything on their website is marked down. Most of the hair styling gadgets are 25% off but there are a few sitting at a 15% discount. This was a pretty sneaky move on their part but if you move fast you’ll be able to grab something before all the stock is gone.
Game
Game is opening their doors at one minute past midnight for Black Friday which is going to be pretty insane. While I’m all for the ease of online shopping, I think watching the physical struggle to grab the best deals will be something to behold. While I don’t have access to the deals yet I can tell you that you need to watch Chani_ZA’s social channels tomorrow because you might actually be able to win something as part of Game’s Black Friday deals. You can thank me later.
iStore
The iPhoneX is available on Black Friday. No word yet on whether they’ll discount that price but the iStore social media has been hinting to Black Friday deals for the past two weeks with a really clever social campaign (you can see one of the images above), so my guess is there will be discounts. Best of all you can shop online, so no long lines.
Gaming Consoles
Get great deals on the PlayStation 4, starting as little as R3999. Get this deal at BT Games, CNA, Dion Wired, Game, Incredible Connection, Loot, Makro, Pick ‘n Pay, Raru, and Takealot.
The Xbox One S starts at R3499 and you get a free controller.
The Nintendo Switch and games for the console WILL NOT be discounted (that’s a global decision by Nintendo and applies worldwide) BUT if you go through to the Nintendo Pop Up Zone in Sandton City I have confirmation that certain merchandise in store will be on sale.
Swiitch Beauty
Disclosure – I’ve never used any of the Switch Beauty products so I can’t talk to quality but I do follow them on Instagram and they’re cheeky, quirky and their stuff looks pretty amazeballs. They’re also jumping on the Black Friday bandwagon with an online sale kickstarting at midnight on Thursday. So it might be worthwhile to check them out.
Wellness Warehouse
Recently I’ve become more aware of what goes into beauty products and if they are cruelty-free. We’ve also all been trying to get ourselves body ready for those December holidays. Wellness Warehouse is having a sale on green cleaning products, beauty items, health appliances and the like with up to 60% off. This is a great time to try new beauty products that are good for the environment.Their Black Friday WEEK has already started and they’re announcing new deals every day. So now you know.
Checkers
One of my colleagues made a joke about discount booze, but seriously, is that a bad thing? Checkers has a great selection of wines and cheese, so planning for the holidays with up to 50% off is actually a great idea. You can also do some grocery shopping while you are at it.
Razer
I can confirm that there are giant discounts on Razer products come Black Friday. Most of the online gaming retailers are going to be running discounts. I’m not allowed to release what products will be discounted and where but trust me, you’ll want to grab a few. So keep tabs open on the usual gaming site suspects.
